Things to do for your children?  It's a common question. Therefore we have for the children made a list of activities here in the neighborhood.
 

Trout fishing at the Domaine Baudry - Open all year -

With some pieces of corn and a fishingrod you can go catch your own trout. In the store where you can find the most delicious homemade jam in more than 130 flavors! On the site is also a small playground.  Admission is free.


Canoeing and Kayaking on the river Sioule - from May till September

The most beautiful part of the Gorges de la Sioule can be found between Menat and Saint Gal, this is a track of 11 km and can be done in half a day. There are a few fun rapids and children must be at least 6 years old to go on the river. On departure you get a life jacket and a waterproof ton for your stuff. Start in the morning before 11:30 am or in the afternoon at 14: oo hours Price per person for half day 15 euros and 17 euros for a canoe for a kayak **


Theme Park Vulcania in Clermont Ferrand
 

Just outside Clermont-Ferrand you find the theme park Vulcania. In this park you experience the adventure of the Earth and is located in the Regional Natural Park of the Auvergne. Discover a fascinating world with your family and learn about volcanoes, earth and natural forces. It offers spectacular and sensational new Vulcania animations such as:

* The Dragon Ride on the legends and secrets of the subterranean depths
* The Magma Explorer that takes you on an expedition to the center of a volcano.

In the forest of Foret des Colletes is a new park, where children from the length of 1.05m can go climbing and scrambling in the wild. In the summer the park is open every day until 19:00 hours but must be booked in advance.


Amusement park and Zoo Le Pal

Le Pal is 23 hectares and has a zoo with more than five hundred animals. There are several shows to see as the parrot show, a predators show and a sea lion show. Asian elephants have such a new stay of less than four football fields. The zoo is among the best in France.


The park has two roller coasters: Azteka runs through the jungles and ruins of the Aztecs and Le Tigre Siberia is a quick ride on the back of a tiger. Le Pal also has another two whitewater attractions: La Descente du Colorado in round boats drag you along on the wild flow of a river and the famous La Rivière Canadienne-trip logs. Strains are also 3D-movie and Dynamik Cine Le Disque du Soleil, a rotating disk on roller coaster rails. For children there are old timers, floating balloons, a monorail and of course lots of animals. Admission Prices 2010: € 20.00 per person. Children up to 9 years and more than one meters: € 17.00
